New Client Testimonial! Love it!
Denise Christiansen did a PsyChi session with me recently and I highly recommend her! She helped me to unblock some long-time emotions from my body and spirit that had been trapped, even things I thought I'd already processed. It is great to feel lighter and free from those negative feelings about traumatic events in my past. Thank you, Denise!

WHAT IS ADDICTION?
Addiction - there is a psychological/physical component; the person is unable to control the aspects of the addiction without
help because of the mental or physical conditions involved.
Habit - it is done by choice. The person with the habit can choose to stop, and will subsequently stop successfully if they want to. The psychological/physical component is not an issue as it is with an addiction.
When a person is addicted to something they cannot control and become dependent on it to cope with daily life.
It is DEPENDENCY which often leads to tolerance in that the need increases and the amount of stimulus needed increases to get the same effect.
Addiction used to be thought of as a psycho-active substance that crosses the blood-brain barrier, temporarily altering the chemical balance of the brain. Psychological dependency with things such as gambling, sex, internet, work, exercise, etc. should also be counted as addictions, because they can also lead to a variety of feelings such as guilt and shame, hopelessness and despair, failure and rejection, anxiety and humiliation.
Addiction, often referred to as dependency often leads to tolerance - needing larger and more regular amounts of stimulus to receive the same effect.

Top 5 Signs that your child is into Pornography

| Time: | Spending hours somewhere on the PC/Smart phone/laptop
everyday during a specific time of day that seems to be habitual...or just doesn't join the family activities... always buried into their smart phone (secretive) |
|||||||||
| Moody: | Angry chip on their shoulder…very
sensitive to being told what to do, disrespectful (most commonly: men to women). Doesn't want to be interrupted from their secret passion. |
|||||||||
| Obsession: | Collecting/hiding of seductive content...pictures in magazines, movies, smartphone, books and FB...lots of friending with opposite sex |
|||||||||
| Hiding: | Isolation…not wanting to go to
events. Likes to be alone in their thoughts and ability to view and flirt |
|||||||||
| Hormonal: | Promiscuous, degrading
behavior/language with siblings/friends… acting out the fantasy in real life. Constant glances at people dressed provocatively. |
